Don Burnell - Self Defense Instructor
Don Burnell is one of I.P.S.'s hand to hand weaponless defense trainers and security consultants. Mr. Burnell has an extensive background in Security and martial arts of over 30 years.Don has been a consultant for Impact public safety since its conception in 2006. Mr. Burnell served in the United States Air Force for 7 years where he was a Air Force Security Police officer. Mr. Burnell was assigned to training fellow officers in hand to hand combat techniques.
Mr. Burnell also was a member of the Emergency service team (Air force S.W.A.T.) Don served in the beginning of Desert Storm before leaving the Air Force.
In 1994 Don started working in the Private security field where he worked with Brinks armored car service before specializing in Night Club Security.
Mr. Burnell started training in martial arts at the age of 15 and has many achievements including the Ramsein Air Base West Germany Karate Championship and North Dakota state Champion. Was named the # 1 Heavy weight kick boxing contender in the armed forces martial arts association.
Mr. Burnell has newly formed a school The academy of applied Martial Arts and which is under the Global Martial Arts Alliance Association.
